Jing-Jing Shen is a junior at Harvard College studying Chemistry and Government, with a minor in Global Health and Health Policy. From volunteering at a hospital as a teenager to serving as a Crisis Text Line counselor now, she has witnessed how someone's mental health can shape their wellbeing and their life. Inspired by these conversations and stories, Jing-Jing joined the Mental Health for All Lab. At the lab, Jing-Jing is assisting with the PRIDE and EMPOWER projects, which seek to grow the mental health workforce worldwide and expand mental health care access and supports. Jing-Jing is particularly fascinated by the intersection of global mental health, sustainable development, and human wellbeing. Outside of the lab, Jing-Jing is active in the Harvard Public Opinion Project at the Institute of Politics, conducts renewable energy research at a chemistry lab, and enjoys running along the Charles River.
