Publication: Digital Tools to Support Depression Care in Rural India
This publication from our lab focuses on enhancing depression care in rural Gujarat, India, by training non-specialist health workers using a digital program. The study demonstrated that community health workers, after completing the digital training, improved their knowledge and skills in delivering behavioral activation therapy for depression. Despite some technical challenges, participants appreciated the flexibility and accessibility of the digital format. This approach shows promise in expanding mental health care access in resource-limited settings.
