Anushka is a clinical psychologist, specializing in trauma-related assessment and treatment across cultures. She earned her BA from Carleton College, MN. She completed her doctoral studies at The University of Tulsa, OK, and her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) before joining this lab. Anushka is also a fellow with the World Health Organization (WHO), where she concentrates on scalable intervention development.

Anushka is particularly passionate about developing and delivering trauma-related interventions to people in underserved communities using community-based participatory methods. She has worked on a range of projects related to this mission, with primary interests in India. Anushka is also a content development co-lead on the EMPOWER project, which aims to build the mental health workforce globally by building a digital training platform for non-specialist frontline health workers in the Mental Health for All Lab. She enjoys running, hiking, picnicking, reading, cooking, and spending time with interesting conversationalists!
