Natali Carmio

Natali Carmio, PsychD. She completed her residency in mental health at the General Hospital “Ramos Mejia” in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she is from. She has been employed as a staff psychologist in a general public hospital, where she also conducted research related to gender disparities, IT systems in mental health and improving communication skills of health workers. She taught undergraduate courses at the University of Buenos Aires. She comes to Harvard’s Mental Health for All Lab motivated by a desire to scale up mental health interventions to the population level. This stems from her appreciation of the gap between traditional interventions and subsequent direct impacts on people’s quality of life at both the individual level, and at the global health level. She is eager to explore how technology can facilitate mental health care to reach more people, especially in low-and-middle income countries where most people do not have access to mental health care.
