I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, working on the mental health of university students in India and Switzerland. I finished my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Honors and Master's in Psychology in India and received a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for my Ph.D. in Clinical and Health Psychology in which I am investigating the psychopathological factors involved in high symptoms of physical pain among students and the effect of pain on the reward-related processes in different cultures. I received a Ph.D. mobility grant from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland to learn about the implementation of digital-based tools to address mental health problems across cultures, especially where access to mental health care is limited. I will be working under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Vikram Patel and with the EMPOWER team based in the Mental Health for All Lab.
